Do I need to be in when you come round?
Not always. Wasp nests or anything external can often be sorted without you needing to be home. Anything inside the house, yes, someone needs to let us in.
What does this actually cost?
Depends on the pest and the property. Straightforward jobs start around £45+VAT, rats and mice usually run £90–£200. Each pest page above has more specific pricing for that particular job.
How fast can you get someone out?
Same day, most of the time, especially for wasp nests if you call before lunch. Other jobs are usually booked within a day or two.
Is any of this dangerous for my kids or the dog?
We use products approved for domestic properties and lock everything away in bait stations your dog can't get into. Just flag it if you've got pets or little ones about so we can plan around it.
What if it doesn't work the first time?
Varies by pest, some need more than one visit as standard, others rarely do. Worth asking exactly what's covered before you book, and check the specific pest page above for what's typical.
Will my home insurance cover this?
Almost never. Insurers class infestations as something that builds up over time rather than a one-off accident, so it's usually coming out of your own pocket.
Should I get pest control before selling the house?
Not legally required, but a survey turning up rat droppings in the loft is a great way to lose £2,000 off your asking price at the last minute. Cheaper to sort it before the for-sale sign goes up.
Do you cover flats and shared buildings, not just houses?
Yes, and it's often more relevant there, since pests moving through shared basements or service ducts between flats need a different approach to a single house.
